this game reminds me of Distance, an atmospheric racing platformer. I like the platformer games, this is scary just like distance. I like AIDE, her voice is IVONA Salli, I used it too in my game. I meet my AI assistant, Sonoko Hashimoto, a Japanese AI, instructor and guide just like AIDE, instead of her being in DERE EXE games, she only in distance game universe.
picture of Sonoko Hashimotoher voice just like AIDE, IVONA Salli.
this girl is a human, not a robot. she can speak with TTS voice.
i have gameplay of me playing this game. much like the other game this one is amazing horror wise. i did struggle a little bit tho. but overall still enjoyed myself. also love the ending to this game very clever.
The blocks don't spin when jumping and playing with a controller. That's a bummer, because I was enjoying it up to that point. My hands won't allow me to play platformers on keyboards.
I played this game on the phone and I liked it very much, the events and glitches in it really impressed me, but many of my friends finished the game without understanding it because there is no Turkish translation in the game. I woud love to translate the game into Turkish if you want. If you are interested in my offer, here is my e-mail address: enginben123@gmail.com
When I saw some of the devs that rate it one star it turns out they were making games of a similar genre, and I guess they didn't like that this game was featured here and played by Markiplier. I'm not too surprised but it's sad because most other devs are supportive and we help each other out.
Creepypasta style platformer. I really like the art style, challenges, controls, overarching mood and story and how it manages to throw you off guard occasionally. Its also playing with the concept of the ingame tutorial not being "written", but voiced by an AI which makes for a different type of engagement and connection that you get to the game and its world. It still feels a bit too close to other games in the genre, but its not terrible long, so I'd absolutely recommend checking it out if you enjoy small platforming games. If you want to get more out of the story, you might want to look into playing the devs previous games. 3,5/5
Hi. I just see on buildbox engine website and they proudly your game make by that engine. Is that true. If true, tell me how do you make this game (story game req a progamming skills). Thanks
Wish there was some way to change the controls, I play on a 60% keyboard meaning I do not have arrows keys, and have to let go of my Fn key to hit space, therefore I cannot move and press the space bar at the same time. The ability to choose WASD over arrow keys would be great. Can't really play the game currently.
We apologize for this! Didn't think it would be an issue, as this has been the first time we've encountered a user with this keyboard. We would be glad to send you a refund.
Honestly, I don't think it's that DIFFICULT, most of the difficulty is due to bad controls. No offense to the dev, but there is no momentum mechanic, so the character doesn't keep moving in the same direction when you jump off a moving object, or let go of the movement key.
in addition, there are a few jumps that don't appear to have been playtested, the biggest is one where there's a couple sawblades right next to a checkpoint (luckily) where the gap is too high to clear with a single jump, but too low to clear with a double jump, so you have to kind of do a double and then awkwardly fall through the hole.
The spinning parts were also terrible in general due to no friction either.
In addition, there were multiple parts that could be cheesed, most of the falling platform sections were basically skippable, most of the sliding puzzles allowed you to just flick into a blank wall and reset or skip mechanics, and the final boss has a spot where she can't hit you at all.
I'd give it a 6. I'd say it's not that bad but as the 6th game AppStir's put out, it really should be better
Just finished this and I really enjoyed it for the most part. Without giving anything away there is a section toward the end that I found very annoying to control, but I'm assuming that frustration was probably intentional, given the themes of the game. Great job!
thank you so much, joe! that's an incidental free pass for me because it wasn't meant to be annoying! haha. but the nature of the games gets me off the hook sometimes haha. thanks again for buying this!! more to come
this is a big coincidence, i downloaded your game on my cell phone a week ago, and i was browsing here and found it again, i just have one thing to say ... YOUR GAME IS GREAT. NOTE: sorry if I noticed some English errors, I'm using google translator to write this, because I'm from Brazil :D
Yes, it is keyboard only. In fact, glitches happen like no movement animation or sudden stopping when there is a controller plugged in. It's best to unplug the controller and play with keyboard. But I have seen someone find a way to use a controller for this and for HopBound.
Here is an excerpt from one of the steam reviews:
"The game doesn't have controller support, and even the developer wrote that into the store page. But I use a DS4 controller mapped partly to the keyboard, partly to the XB1 controller, and partly to the mouse using DS4Windows, and I am playing the whole game front to back using a controller only"
This game is great for people who like difficult games. The gameplay is similar to Super Meat Boy, in that there's a lot of failure, but not much punishment. The narrative is fun to follow, too. Great job to the developer! :>
I love this game. It took me and my friend a long time to finish the game and it was worth it. I got to play the mobile version and the computer version on my friend's computer. I applaud AppSir, Inc. for such a great game... no for a great series for Dere .exewas a great game too.
Cool idea. Maybe have it not repeat voice lines over and over though? If you're going to die dozens of times per level it's really annoying to have to hear the same messages as many times.
I played the first level and was intrigued. I would like to play the whole series, but I'm not sure which order to play them in. What would you suggest?

i rarely play any horror games, so this random ass game took my jumpscare virginity multiple years ago
how did i randomly just find this
lol i'm glad this popped your jumpsare cherry
there's been more games in the same universe released since you played and more to come even this year!
I have played this a few times already. Just want to let everyone know this is an awesome game. It is fun, and it is interesting story-wise!
thank you for the kind words!
cool
you're cooler!

thanks so much for playing the game!
DOES work on Steam Deck (but you have to install a "sound engine." Never heard of that before)
cool

Was This Actually Built In Buildbox
Yes
Very Cool!
The best game about riding a yandere corpse as a skateboard I have ever seen.
Exactly what we aimed for when making this game

the music on the trailer is wonderful!
About the game:
We Really enjoy that kind of games, which remind us of Dead Cells which is a great game! can't wait to see more!
Devs are also very kind to their costumers and they care about their game and the other opinions. Totally Recommend this game 10/10
Thank you so much! I should play Dead Cells too soon. And thank you again for the kind words! More games to come!
hell yeah man! Try dead cells and take ideas from it! Then you guys will make a epic game
why is this game has only 2 stars rated?
When I saw some of the devs that rate it one star it turns out they were making games of a similar genre, and I guess they didn't like that this game was featured here and played by Markiplier. I'm not too surprised but it's sad because most other devs are supportive and we help each other out.
We are a small team of devs, we totally agree with you mate. Did Markiplier played your game???!!!!
yes :) it was a pretty epic playthrough
if markiplier played your game and he liked it, it means that you succeed :)
thank you so much!
I love
this game so much
Oh yes I remember playing this on my phone, this game is awesome! i actually replayed it several times!

More Racial Justice Bundle impressions:

El juego está roto, me aparecen cosas extrañas. Ayuda. Rezo cada noche desde que lo jugué.
I play it on the phone, it's really entertaining and trippy.
I like the idea that the AI wants to destroy you. Very good

yes it is made with Buildbox. just try it out for yourself and follow some tutorials. you'll be making awesome games youself if you work for it :)
What error message is showing? What PC are you using?
huh. i've never seen that happen before. does this happen to other games made by us too? like DERE EXE: The AppSir Prequel?
oh no! would you like a refund

It's alright, I got this as part of a bundle if I remember correctly, just a bummer that I can't play cause I'm sure I would've liked it.
I finished the game in about an hour.

there seems to be a bug - if a controller is used, the character jumps, but the spike blocks don't rotate. is the game keyboard-only?

my bad. thanks for the information!
GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!
No... you're great!!! Thank you so much for playing!

thank you so much! i hope you enjoy HopBound too. it's a bit different but if you liked DERE EVIL EXE i bet you'll enjoy that too :)
Very fun and tight platformer that I regually replay.
I rate it very highly
thank you so much for the kind words!
I noticed the song "Your Consenting Mind" at the end of the trailer. Neat to find a familiar song in this game!
Akuma Kira is one of the greatest gamedev/musicians ever!
Wow, sorry I didn't see this a while back. I've played Dere 2 now, it was really good!
Anyone know if there's ways to import these pc formats to Playstation VITA? So many would be amazing on handhelds!!
i don't have a playstation vita to know :(
-Made a Video. (Old Video)
thank you!

Yes!!!!
thank you! there's a new game too :)
What the Engine?
Buildbox :)
:'(
): Free

noted. thank you for the feedback!
I played the first level and was intrigued. I would like to play the whole series, but I'm not sure which order to play them in. What would you suggest?
thanks,
dillo
if you're into just the platformers: Proto DERE, DERE EXE, DERE EVIL EXE, then HopBound
if the whole series, just put in Sorority Rites and The Last Yandere after Proto DERE :)
Gave it a go...
LOL GREAT VID
Thanks a bunch!
thank you so much again! I'm interested in seeing you try the new one too :)
Not a problem! I didn't know there was a new one. If you could link it to me at some point, that would be cool.
